Warranty
At Jim Davis Designs, we take pride in delivering high-quality, custom window treatments that enhance your home for years to come. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we stand behind our craftsmanship with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. From your initial consultation to the final installation—and beyond—our goal is to provide you with an exceptional experience. If you have any questions or concerns, we’re here to assist you every step of the way.
Our Limited Lifetime Warranty
We guarantee that our products are free from material and workmanship defects that would impact their proper function for as long as you, the original purchaser, own the product. Certain conditions and exclusions apply, as detailed below.
What We Cover
Core Components: Internal mechanisms, brackets, and other essential parts are covered for the life of the product.
Operational Hardware: Cords and chains are covered for 7 years from the installation date.
Motorization Parts: Motorized components are covered for 5 years from the installation date.
Professional Service Guarantee: If your window treatments were measured and installed by our team, we’ll address any warranty-related service issues at no charge.
What Is Not Covered
Wear and tear from everyday use, such as fabric stretching or minor fraying.
Damage caused by improper handling, misuse, accidents, or relocation of the product.
Fading, discoloration, or deterioration caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight, moisture, or other environmental factors.
Natural variations in color, texture, or grain in materials, including minor imperfections in natural products. • Routine upkeep of motorized systems, such as replacing or recharging batteries.
Shipping costs, removal, or reinstallation for products not installed by our professionals.
Damage or alterations caused by third-party measurements, installations, or repairs.
Repair & Replacement Policies
Because all of our products are custom-made to your specifications:
Replacement items will be matched to the original as closely as possible, though exact matches cannot be guaranteed.
Repairs or replacements will use similar or equivalent parts.
If multiple treatments are in the same room, only the defective item will be addressed.
Any repaired or replaced product will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 30 days—whichever is longer.
Refunds & Returns
Since each Jim Davis Designs product is custom-crafted, we are unable to offer returns or refunds. If a product does not meet your expectations, we will work with you to find a solution, including repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty.
Fabric Characteristics
Please note that Jim Davis Designs does not warranty against natural fabric growth or shrinkage, as these are inherent characteristics of various materials.
All Sales Final
Due to the custom nature of our work, all sales are final. Orders may not be canceled for any reason once placed. No partial or full refunds will be given for delays or inconveniences caused by circumstances outside of Jim Davis Designs’ control. Any refunds deemed appropriate shall be at the sole discretion of Jim Davis Designs.
Warranty Pickup and Delivery
If a manufacturer’s warranty does not cover the cost of re-installation or delivery, the customer is responsible for these costs.
Window Treatment Gaps
For inside-mounted window treatments, gaps are inevitable due to manufacturer standards and cannot be eliminated. These gaps are outside of Jim Davis Designs’ control and are not covered under warranty.
Dye Lots and Customer-Owned Material (COM)
Jim Davis Designs is not responsible for differences in dye lots between samples and final products. Cuttings or samples of the actual material can be provided upon request to minimize discrepancies.We disclaim any responsibility for issues arising from Customer-Owned Materials (COM) used in the fabrication of your order.
Digital Images
Digital images shown for products may vary slightly from actual materials.
Order Modifications
Any changes, modifications, or adjustments requested at or after installation will incur additional charges for materials, labor, and reinstallation.
Installation Scheduling
Installations are scheduled during regular business hours (Monday through Friday). Requests for non-standard hours may be subject to limited availability and additional fees.
Final Payment
Due to unforeseen delays, it is possible that some items in your order may not be delivered simultaneously. The delivery of some items does not void the contract. Final payment is due prior to installation of your largest portion of install.
Past Due Payments
In the event of late payments, default interest may be assessed at the maximum rate permitted by law. Customers will also be responsible for all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs.

Our team strives for excellence, but due to the natural variations in materials and production processes, slight deviations may occur. We appreciate your understanding and are committed to delivering the highest quality custom window treatments for your home.
Our warranty is exclusive and supersedes any other oral, written, or implied warranties to the extent allowed by law. We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages beyond the cost of the original product. Some states may not allow these limitations, so certain conditions may not apply to you.
